The Radical Nature of the Meridians
The meridians are water pathways within the body.
This perspective reframes our understanding completely. What TJ FRANK is putting forth here is extremely radical: that there is a parallel system of communication within the body, one that predates the neurological system.
We know the neurological system allows communication throughout the body and regulates physiological function. But evolutionarily, there’s another system — the water system.
Picture water pipes — twelve of them — running through the body, regulated by our thoughts and feelings. These “pipes” affect our physiology and allow communication within the body, based on water vibrating with our thought-feelings as vibrational currents.
You’ve experienced this yourself. Someone walks into a room in a highly emotional state and everyone feels it instantly, like tuning forks resonating. This isn’t just psychology. It’s a byproduct of this pre-neurological evolutionary communication system in the body.
Life began in the ocean. When the first nitrogen-based cell walls formed, the water was already inside. When two cells came together, the water in both cells and the binding proteins between them allowed vibration — communication — across the interstitial water.
This system existed before nerve tissue ever evolved. The symmetry of communication between cells, gated by binding proteins and mediated through water, has been retained throughout evolution, from simple diatoms all the way to humans.
This is the parallel system of communication in the body — based on water. It predates the neurological system.

Dr Tom has seen glimpses of its reality. For example, there was a man who had a complete severance of the spinal cord yet was able to walk again. He did it through strengthening muscles, wall sits, and a strange rehabilitation program. It made me wonder — are the neural cords realigning, or is there a secondary system at play?
Clearly, in those early two-cell organisms, there was no nerve tissue. Yet communication happened. And that function has been retained as we evolved into multicellular organisms with multiple organ systems.
